Some listings include matched public business phone numbers, shared email addresses and websites. Coverage is incomplete. Source links and matching methods help you judge each result.
This overview is a guide. The sections below contain the full policy.01How we match contacts
Public business contacts are added only where we find supporting identity evidence. A directory match compares the business name and street address, or a distinctive exact business name and city where the source withholds an address. Ambiguous names, conflicting addresses, invalid phone formats and known placeholder numbers are withheld. Some contacts are checked against the business’s own website or booking page.
Each enriched listing shows the matching method, source links and checked date. A directory’s confidence score concerns the existence of the place, not whether its telephone number is current. “Checked” means the source was reviewed or cross-matched; it does not mean a call was placed, an email was delivered or the business endorsed the listing. Missing information remains blank.
02Sources and attribution
Government registration and licence sources remain the source of the original business record. Selected contact information is independently matched from business websites, public booking pages and the Overture Maps Foundation Places dataset, release 2026-09-23.1. Source records and identifiers are retained for review. The data is provided as available, with no warranty of completeness or accuracy.
Overture Places includes data contributed by Meta, Microsoft, PinMeTo, Krick, RenderSEO, DAC, BrightQuery, Foursquare and AllThePlaces. Our changes consist of selecting Canadian records, normalizing business phones and names, filtering shared business mailboxes, and matching them to registry/licence identifiers. See Overture’s source attribution.
Applicable source licences: Community Data License Agreement — Permissive 2.0; Apache License 2.0 for Foursquare data; Foursquare NOTICE; and CC0 for AllThePlaces. These source rights are separate from the terms for using NewBiz Radar’s service.
03Correct a contact or request removal
If a number, email or website is outdated or belongs to another business, email business@newbizradar.ca with the listing name, source identifier and the disputed field. We can review or suppress the matched contact without changing the government record. We do not collect private owner telephone numbers or infer email addresses.
A public contact is not permission to send marketing. Check relevance and the rules that apply before contacting a business. NewBiz Radar does not place calls or send outreach on your behalf.
